Not-for-Profit Committee
Mission:
To build a strong partnership between nonprofit and business members of the Chamber. To strengthen response to community needs, increase awareness of available services, and to enhance resources for nonprofits.
Created in 2004 the Chamber's Not-For-Profit Committee consists of several 501(c)3 member organizations, each bringing ideas and energy to the committee. Members share a common goal of working together to investigate ways to supplement limited budgets; increase awareness through sharing of resources and strategies; and promote member organizations within the local business communities.
Since its establishment, the committee members have collaborated on grant writing and board development trainings, and the creation of charitable giving opportunities at the local level. The committee hosts an annual Non Profit Fair, which brings local businesses and non-profit organizations together to enjoy an informal evening of networking opportunities. Working in alliance with community businesses, the committee member organizations are strengthening the quality and scope of services and supports each provides to the community.
